# Connect a phone number

> Import a number from Twilio or connect a number through Custom SIP.

Klatt can connect a phone number through **Twilio** or **Custom SIP**. Open **Phone numbers**, choose the provider, enter the requested details, and select **Import**. Klatt adds the connection to your workspace and shows it in your phone number inventory.

Before you start, confirm that you have permission to manage the number and access to the provider settings requested by the form. Provider requirements differ by import method:

After connecting a number that supports inbound calls, use its **Inbound agent** menu to choose a published agent or clear the assignment. Only inbound-capable numbers can be assigned to an agent.
